How fast do you have to run?

28 km was on the training scheme for Sunday. I realised that I needed to allow 3 hours. So after church – out I trudged. I thought that I would run two rounds from our village through Ankeveen (the next village) and round back to Nederhorst den Berg. Stop for a drink and top up with Sure2Endure and round the other way round.

This would total 30 km.

Boy! it felt REALLY slow. the first round was pretty much an hour and a half and the second round felt EVEN slower! In fact somewhere around 25 km I really felt that I would just try to enjoy the last part and not push so it really felt like jogging along.

I arrived home in 3 hours 1 min! I could hardly believe it.

A friend of mine recently sent me this table with times and distances.  It takes the calculator away from working out where you need to be to reach your target:

    Fast enough to keep from stopping. If you are moving, it is success! Great post and keep up the great work.
